    Mohammed Irfan is a playback singer for movies who made his debut with A.R. Rahman’s composition. The first break he got was in Mani Rathmam’s film, ‘Raavan’. This singer was noticed by veteran singer S. P. Balasubrahmanyam while he was performing live in a musical concert in Hyderabad. After the concert was over, Balasubramanyam recommended his name to A.R. Rahman. In ‘Raavan’, Mohammed got a chance to sing the song with another singer, Karthik. However, it was his song ‘Dil Sambhal Ja Zara’ in film ‘Murder 2’ that made him establish himself as a singer.

    Much before making his debut in Hindi film playback, Mohammed was a fortunate youngster to win the reality show called, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Super Star 2’, and even was a recognized voice of ‘Amul Star Voice of India’, and ‘Sa Re Ga Ma Pa’, on ZEE TV.
