Additionally, The CW was gearing up for a new age of superhero shows such as "Arrow," "The Flash," and "DC's Legends of Tomorrow," which reinvented some of the recurring heroes that had first debuted in "Smallville." Even the cast seemed poised for bulletproof careers outside the borders of their little town in Kansas, with many graduating to bigger networks, long-running shows, and feature film work.
